First tell you about this special dessert. Before making Mawa Jalebi, Mawa is soaked for several hours. This mawa is prepared at home. After checking it well, with the help of a cloth, the shape of Jalebi is made in hot ghee. It is kept in hot ghee for about 2 to 3 minutes. When the color of the jalebi starts turning badmi, it is lifted by turning it over with the help of tongs and put in sugar syrup. After keeping it here for 3 minutes, it is kept in the shop for sale and then there is a queue of buyers. People come from far and wide to eat Mawa Jalebi.
The owner of the shop, Haji Abdul Karim, told that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who had visited Burhanpur, had tasted his jalebi twice. AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has also eaten Jalebi during Lok Sabha elections and recently when Rahul Gandhi came to Burhanpur during Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leaders fed him Jalebi of Burhanpur. This Jalebi especially attracts the tourists coming to Burhanpur.
The operators of the shop tell that this Jalebi goes to every corner of the country. Apart from this, people living here abroad also send Jalebi of Burhanpur as a gift to their relatives as a sweet. When someone comes to Burhanpur from abroad, he comes here and eats Jalebi. Jalebi maker praises the taste of Jalebi from the operator. Considering the quality of Jalebi of Burhanpur, it is also being given GI tag.
